The museum collection is housed in the former RAF North Weald station office, adjacent to what was the main entrance of this former Battle of Britain Fighter station. The extensive collection of artifacts, photographs, personal memorabilia and models is displayed in themed rooms, telling the epic story of the airfield and its people from 1916 through to the present day. A striking new memorial and unique Debt of Honour, commemorating all those who served was erected alongside the museum in 2000.
